I chose Forrest Gump who is the main character in my novel. Forrest is six-foot-six, 242lbs. but muscular not fat. Forrest has a short fade haircut and has dark hair and green eyes. Forrest's personality is a little strange because of his 70 IQ. But was a nice boy throughout his childhood eventhough some other people weren't to him and he still is a nice man. He doesn't understand things very well. When someone says something about him, he's not sure if it's a compliment or insult because of how he was bullied in school so his reaction is unpredictible. Forrest gets upset easily sometimes and is very caring for his mother and Jenny Curran becasue they're the only peole Forrest has in his life.
I would be friends with Forrest Gump, people are mean and bully him because he's a little slow and he only has a few friends so i would most deffinitly be Forrest's friend. He likes football and so do I so we would have something in common to do. I agree with Forrest when he never gives up on his dream girl since the first grade. Forrest loves Jenny and eventhough Forrest goes away a few times throughout the movie and novel, he meets back up with her and does anything for her and loves her no matter what and later on it pays off when they get married and have Forrest Jr.
Forrest Gump doesn't fit in with society because he's practically an idiot and no one likes him. People are so mean and don't let him in with them. He suffers from being neglected from society throughout his whole childhood until he becomes the star running back for his high-school football team. That's when things turned around and he became popular and was treated well for the most part.
When Forrest's bestfriend, Bubba died right next to him in the war, Forrest is devastated but has to get out of that area because they're being attacked. Forrest doesn't want to leave his bestfriend because he believes he still has some life left in him and can't accept the idea Bubba is dead. Forrest is kneeling there next to Bubba on the ground trying to wake him up but another soldier grabbed Forrest and told him to come on Bubba's dead. Forrest knew he had to leave but he wasn't just going to leave Bubba lying there dead on the ground. Forrest's run to find a medic, he finally finds one and takes him to Bubba. When Forrest and the medic get there Bubba is suffering but cracks his eyes open and tells Forrest "I wanna go home", Forrest says "It'll be okay Bubba, I'm gunna git you home". Forrest makes sure Bubba gets on the chopper to go to the medics. Forrest later recieves word Bubba has past.
